How to Write Articles that Matter

Someone needs to spill the tea about articles and trust me to do the honors.

Agree or disagree, we treat articles like disposable content, right? We scroll, skim, maybe like, maybe comment, move on. In our defense, we're seriously drowning in a sea of information these days.

So, I've been asking myself: What if we treated articles like tiny revolutions?

I'm definitely not talking about clickbait headlines or empty listicles. I'm talking about those rare articles that actually switch something inside you. The ones that make you think differently, question your assumptions, or see the world in a new light.

No, really, think about it. Did you know a single, well-crafted article can:

  • Make you quit your 9-to-5 and finally start that jollof rice catering business you've been dreaming about?

  • Completely change your stance on, well, everything?

  • Introduce you to your future spouse/business partner/best friend? (Trust me, stranger things have happened!)

  • Give you the answer to a question you've been agonizing over for years?

Every time I start to question the real impact of writing, I come back to this. No one explains the power and responsibility of storytelling better than the brilliant Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. This is a must-watch.

Do these sound a bit dramatic? Yeah, maybe. But I genuinely believe in the power of words, carefully arranged on a page (or screen😉), to create real, lasting impact.

So, I'm making a personal promise. No more disposable content. No more half-hearted attempts to "feed the algorithm." I'm aiming for tiny revolutions.

I'm aiming to write articles that make you pause, that make you think, that maybe, just maybe, change something for the better.

And I'm inviting you to join me. Let's demand more from the articles we read and write. Let's treat them not as fleeting distractions, but as potential catalysts for change.

Who's with me? Solidarity forever! Solidarity forever! Solidarity forever, we will always fight for our rights! (Trust me, I sang every single word of this song, as I wrote it 😂)

Anyway, what's the last article you read that truly moved you? What was it about? Share it in the comments (And yes, I promise to actually read them.)
